Morrow High School Sweeps the 2017 Cross Country All-County Championships
Morrow High School Sweeps the 2017 Cross Country All-County Championships by finishing first in both the Men and Women’s Overall Events. The 2017 Cross Country Championships were held at the Clayton County International Beach. Forest Park High School finished 2nd All-County for the Men’s along with Riverdale High coming in 3rd in the county.
Mount Zion High School finished 2nd overall for the Women with Forest Park coming in 3rd. Morrow High School’s cross country runner, Taylor Jones finished first with a time of 21:36.82. Morrow sealed the deal with having six of their runners Taylor Jones, Yaribeth Corets, Laura Peacock, Jaelyn Callaway, Jaiana Jackson, and Thi Mai finishing in the top 15 of the county. Mount Zion’s runners Julieta Aguirre, Damya Rolen, & Jade Turner also finished in the top 15 of the county.
Dillion Castellano of Forest Park High School came in first in the county with a time of 16:42.34. Castellano’s teammate Javier Castillo finished 2nd with a time of 17:01.97. Morrow High School’s runners Gabriel Peacock, Christia’n Jarvis, Phong Nguyen, and Steven Luu finished in the top 15 of the county. Forest Park’s runners Dillion Castellano, Javier Castillo, and Khalil Floyd also finished top 15 cross country runners of the county. Congratulations, to Morrow High School on their All-County Finish!
