2017 Rotary Club of Lake Spivey-Clayton County Sponsors ‘Crying Towel’ Luncheon

Clayton County would like to thank the Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County for sponsoring their annual “Crying Towel” event. The rotary club graciously hosted all of our High School Head Football Coaches, Athletic Directors, CCPS Administration & Principals. Each high school football coach had an abundance of stories about their football program that kept the crowd laughing. North Clayton Head Coach Cap Burnett won the 2017 “Crying Towel” Award.

Even though all the coaches kept, the crowd laughing about their exaggerated “sob” stories there was a lot of comradery among them. The consensus within the room is to build our athletic programs with the competitive spirit we have had for years in Clayton County. Clayton County has produced many student athletes that have continued their success in college and on to the NFL. There is a lot of talent within Clayton County and our dedicated coaches want to harness that talent.
