Jonesboro HS Basketball Standout M.J. Walker Chooses Florida State

Clayton County and Jonesboro High School’s all-time leading scorer let it be known that he will attend Florida State University to continue his academic and basketball career. M.J. chose Florida State over Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, UCLA and Ohio State on Wednesday, May 24 in a ceremony at Jonesboro High School. Principal Felecia Brown and Head Basketball Coach Dan Maehlman both spoke on the outstanding character, academic record and class that M.J. Walker has demonstrated in his time at Jonesboro HS. M.J. was accompanied by his parents and sister on this special occasion. CCPS Congratulates M.J. on an historic career at JHS and in Clayton County. Clayton County is looking forward to the continued successes for M.J. Walker!
