BASEBALL: Mundy’s Mill remains unbeaten in region play By Luke Strickland

The only team in Clayton County with a winning record as this point in the season is the Mundy’s Mill Tigers, who went 3-1 last week and are unbeaten in Region 4-AAAAAA play. Mundy’s Mill has won its region games by a combined score of 40-4. The Tigers have excelled due to a strong pitching staff. Melvin Crawford, Lamar Lewis, Fasion Carrington, KeAndra Aaron and Derrick Lindsey have each pitched seven innings or more and are part of a staff with a 3.23 ERA. Offensively, David Crawford leads the team with a .558 batting average with 13 runs scored and 8 RBIs. Dermus Strozier leads the team with 10 RBIs. Mundy’s Mill will look to stay perfect in region play this week with games against MLK.
