Jonesboro Middle School Girls, Kendrick Middle School Boys win 2017 Clayton County Middle School Track and Field Championships
The Jonesboro Middle School Girls captured the 2017 CCPS Middle school Track and Field Championship on Wednesday, March 29 at Southern Crescent Stadium. The Lady Bears totaled 66 points to edge Sequoyah Middle School (58 points) and M. D. Roberts Middle School (47 Points) to take the title.

The Kendrick Middle School Boys became back to back champions in the 2017 boys competition by narrowly defeating Adamson Middle School (54 points) and White Academy (41 points). The Comets totaled 60 points in their victory.

Finally in the OVERALL COMPETITION Jonesboro MS was the champion with Kendrick finishing as the runners-up.
